Picture walking into your wedding reception, anniversary party, or any social event knowing exactly how to move with grace. No more awkward swaying or watching from the sidelines while others glide across the floor with confidence.
You’ll develop the skills that make dancing feel natural and enjoyable, not forced or stressful. Whether it’s your first dance as newlyweds or simply wanting to feel comfortable at social gatherings, you’ll move with the kind of confidence that comes from real training.
The transformation goes beyond just learning steps. You’ll discover a form of expression that connects you with music, with your partner, and with a part of yourself you might not have known existed.
Ballroom Factory Dance Studio has earned our reputation as Suffolk County’s leading dance education center through years of helping students achieve real results. Located in the heart of Long Island, we understand exactly what Manor Park residents need from their dance instruction.
Our approach centers on personalized teaching that meets you where you are right now. No intimidating group settings where you feel lost or rushed. Instead, you get the individual attention that actually builds skill and confidence at a pace that works for your life.
What makes us different is our commitment to understanding your specific goals first, then crafting instruction around what you actually want to achieve. This isn’t about pushing you through a generic curriculum—it’s about giving you the expertise and attention you need to succeed.
Everything starts with an honest conversation about what you want to accomplish and how dance fits into your life. We listen to your goals, timeline, and any concerns you have, then create a plan designed specifically around your needs.
From there, you begin personalized lessons that break down complex movements into manageable steps. We focus on proper technique while keeping the experience enjoyable and pressure-free. You learn at your own pace without the stress of trying to keep up with a group.
As you progress, you’ll have opportunities to practice in group classes and social settings that complement your private instruction. This gives you real-world experience applying what you’ve learned in a supportive environment where everyone is there to improve their dancing.
Ready to get started?
Ballroom Factory Dance Studio offers comprehensive instruction in the dance styles that matter most for Suffolk County residents. Whether you need elegant Waltz and Foxtrot for formal occasions, energetic Salsa and Cha-Cha for social events, or passionate Tango for something special, you’ll receive expert training in each style.
Our specialty lies in creating custom wedding choreography that reflects each couple’s unique relationship and musical preferences. Rather than generic routines, you get personalized choreography that tells your story and feels authentic to perform on your special day.
Manor Park residents benefit from flexible scheduling that accommodates busy Long Island lifestyles, along with our state-of-the-art facilities featuring spacious dance floors and mirrors for optimal learning. We also serve as an elegant event venue, providing a complete dance experience that extends beyond just lessons.
Most couples need 6-8 private lessons to create and master a beautiful 3-4 minute wedding dance, though this depends on your song choice and desired complexity. Simple, elegant routines can be learned in as few as 4 lessons, while more elaborate choreography might require 10-12 sessions.
The key is starting early enough to avoid pre-wedding stress. Beginning your lessons 2-3 months before your big day gives you time to learn the routine, practice together regularly, and feel completely confident when all eyes are on you during your first dance.
Your wedding dance should reflect who you are as a couple. Whether you prefer something simple and romantic or more dynamic and entertaining, we’ll create choreography that feels natural and authentic to your relationship.
Not at all. Many successful students begin their dance journey as individuals, and it’s often an advantage. Without a partner, you can focus entirely on developing your own technique and confidence without coordinating with someone else’s learning pace or schedule.
We welcome both individuals and couples, and group classes provide natural opportunities to practice with different partners. This actually makes you a more versatile dancer since you learn to adapt to various styles and skill levels.
If you have a partner who wants to join you, that’s wonderful. But if your partner isn’t interested or available, don’t let that stop you from pursuing something you want to learn. Many accomplished dancers started exactly this way.
We offer comprehensive training in both Ballroom and Latin dance styles that are most useful for Suffolk County social events. Ballroom dances include Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, and Quickstep, while Latin styles cover Salsa, Cha-Cha, Rumba, and Samba. We also teach popular social dances like Swing and Hustle.
Each style serves different occasions and musical preferences. Waltz and Foxtrot are perfect for weddings and formal events, while Salsa and Cha-Cha add energy to parties and social gatherings. Tango brings drama and passion, while Swing works beautifully for casual, fun dancing.
We’ll help you choose styles that match your goals and the types of events you attend. Many students discover they enjoy multiple styles, as each offers different ways to express yourself and connect with various types of music.
Private lesson packages typically range from $75-150 per session, with better per-lesson rates when you purchase larger packages. Most students find packages offer significantly better value than individual lessons, and we provide introductory rates for new students.
Group classes are more budget-friendly, usually ranging from $20-40 per class, and offer excellent value for those who enjoy learning alongside others. Many students combine private lessons for personalized attention with group classes for practice and social interaction.
Your total investment depends on your goals and timeline. Wedding couples preparing for their first dance typically need 6-10 private lessons, while those learning for ongoing social dancing might prefer regular group classes with occasional private sessions for technique refinement.
Comfort and freedom of movement are your top priorities for dance lessons. Wear clothing that allows you to move your arms and legs freely—avoid anything too tight, restrictive, or flowing that might get in the way. Business casual or comfortable workout attire both work perfectly.
For shoes, choose footwear with smooth soles that allow you to pivot and turn easily. Leather-soled dress shoes work well for men, while women can wear low heels or flats with smooth soles. Avoid rubber soles, sneakers, or flip-flops, as these grip the floor too much and make dancing more difficult.
Don’t worry about having special dance attire for your first lesson. We want you to feel comfortable and confident, and we’ll provide guidance on appropriate footwear and clothing as you progress in your training.
Age is absolutely no barrier to learning dance successfully. Many of our most enthusiastic and accomplished students are in their 50s, 60s, and beyond. Older adults often bring patience, life experience, and dedication that actually accelerates their learning process.
Dance provides excellent physical and mental benefits for older adults, including improved balance, coordination, cardiovascular health, and cognitive function. The social aspects are equally valuable, offering opportunities to meet new people and stay active in an enjoyable, low-impact way.
The key is working with experienced instructors who understand how to adapt teaching methods to different ages and physical abilities. Every lesson is tailored to your comfort level and goals, ensuring you progress at a pace that feels right and safe for your body.
