You’ll step onto that dance floor knowing exactly what you’re doing. No more standing on the sidelines watching everyone else have fun.
Whether it’s your wedding day, an anniversary celebration, or just a night out, you’ll move with confidence instead of counting steps in your head. Our students tell us the best part isn’t just learning the moves—it’s how different they feel about themselves once they can actually dance.
The awkwardness disappears. The self-consciousness fades. What’s left is someone who can enjoy the music, connect with their partner, and be present in the moment instead of worried about their feet.
We know what it’s like to feel nervous about dancing. Most of our students start exactly where you are right now—wanting to learn but not sure where to begin.
Our instructors have spent years competing professionally, but more importantly, they’ve spent years teaching real people. They understand that not everyone learns the same way, and they know how to work with your schedule, your goals, and your comfort level.
Located in Speonk, we’ve been helping Suffolk County residents discover their confidence on the dance floor. We’re not trying to turn you into a professional dancer—we’re here to help you become the dancer you want to be.
First, we talk. Not about dance steps, but about what you actually want to accomplish. Your wedding song, that anniversary trip, or just feeling comfortable at social events—we start with your goal.
Then we assess where you are right now. No judgment, no pressure. Just an honest look at your current comfort level so we can build from there.
From there, we create your personalized plan. Maybe it’s three lessons to nail your wedding dance, or maybe it’s ongoing sessions to build a full repertoire. We work with your timeline, your budget, and your schedule—not the other way around.
Each lesson builds on the last one, and you’ll notice the difference immediately. By the end, you won’t just know the steps—you’ll actually enjoy dancing.
Ready to get started?
You get one-on-one attention from experienced instructors who adapt to your learning style. No crowded group classes where you’re trying to keep up with everyone else.
We cover all the classics—Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot—plus Latin styles like Salsa and Cha-Cha. Whatever fits your music, your event, or your interests. In Suffolk County, we see a lot of couples preparing for weddings at local venues, and we know exactly what works on those dance floors.
Flexible scheduling means you don’t have to rearrange your life to learn to dance. Evening appointments, weekend sessions, whatever works for your calendar. We also handle custom choreography if you want something special for your big day.
Most couples need 3-5 private lessons to feel confident with their first dance. This gives you enough time to learn the basic steps, practice the transitions, and get comfortable with your specific song.
If you want something more elaborate or you’re complete beginners, plan for 5-7 sessions. We’ve found that rushing through lessons creates more stress, not less. Better to start a few months early and feel prepared than to cram everything into the last two weeks.
The exact number depends on your song choice, your comfort level, and how polished you want the final result. During your first lesson, we’ll give you a realistic timeline based on your specific situation.
Comfortable clothes that let you move freely. You don’t need special dance attire—just avoid anything too restrictive or too loose that might get in the way.
For shoes, anything with a smooth sole works better than rubber soles that grip the floor too much. Dress shoes, leather-soled shoes, or even socks work fine for learning. Avoid sneakers or anything with thick treads that make pivoting difficult.
Women should skip the stilettos for lessons—a small heel is fine, but you want stability while you’re learning. Once you’re comfortable with the steps, you can dance in whatever shoes you’ll actually wear to your event.
Yes, absolutely. Rhythm isn’t something you either have or don’t have—it’s something you develop. Most people who think they have “no rhythm” just haven’t learned how to feel the beat in the music yet.
We start with simple movements that match the music’s natural pulse. Once you can feel that connection between the beat and your body, everything else becomes much easier. It’s like learning to drive—awkward at first, then suddenly it clicks.
The bigger issue is usually overthinking rather than lack of rhythm. When you stop trying so hard to be perfect and just let yourself move with the music, you’ll be surprised what happens.
We focus primarily on private lessons because they’re simply more effective. You get personalized attention, learn at your own pace, and don’t have to coordinate with other people’s schedules.
However, we do offer group sessions for special situations—like wedding parties who all want to learn together, or couples who prefer the social aspect of group learning. These are typically arranged by request rather than ongoing scheduled classes.
Private lessons mean you’re not waiting for others to catch up or struggling to keep pace with faster learners. You get exactly what you need, when you need it, which is especially important if you’re working toward a specific event date.
Private lesson rates vary based on your specific needs and the instructor’s experience level. Most couples invest between $300-600 for a complete wedding dance package, which typically includes 4-6 private sessions.
Individual lessons range from $75-120 per hour, depending on whether you’re booking single sessions or a package. Packages almost always offer better value and ensure consistency in your learning progression.
We’re transparent about pricing from the start—no hidden fees or pressure to buy more than you need. During your consultation, we’ll discuss your goals and give you exact pricing for the number of lessons we recommend.
We cover all the essential ballroom styles—Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, and Viennese Waltz—plus popular Latin dances like Salsa, Cha-Cha, Rumba, and Swing. Most wedding couples start with Waltz or Foxtrot since they work well with popular wedding songs.
For social dancing, Salsa and Swing are incredibly useful because you’ll encounter them at parties and events. If you have a specific song in mind, we’ll recommend the style that fits best rather than forcing you into something that doesn’t match your music.
Our instructors have competition backgrounds in multiple styles, so you’re learning proper technique regardless of which dance you choose. We can also blend elements from different styles if that works better for your particular song or event.
