Our core offering is comprehensive Ballroom Dance lessons. We understand that dance styles vary, which is why our dance programs cater to various styles. From elegant Waltz and passionate Tango to energetic Salsa and smooth Foxtrot, we cover the full spectrum of ballroom and Latin dances. We offer group classes at two levels: Beginner and Intermediate, with Beginner Classes perfect for those who are new to dancing or have taken just a few classes.
For Suffolk County couples, our wedding dance lessons are particularly popular. We will make sure your first wedding dance is the most memorable one, with clients like those who had their entire Dirty Dancing first dance choreographed for their wedding. We also provide private lessons for personalized attention, group classes for social interaction, and flexible scheduling to fit your busy life.
Dancing isn’t just about mastering steps; it’s also about connecting with others, and in your first dance class you’ll have the opportunity to meet fellow dance enthusiasts who share your interests. Dancing is a social activity, and our classes create an environment to make new friends, build confidence, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow dancers. Whether you’re a Huntington Station resident or traveling from elsewhere in Suffolk County, you’ll find a welcoming community here.
Most couples need 4-8 lessons to feel confident with their wedding dance, depending on the complexity of choreography you want and your comfort level. After a handful of lessons, couples can go from no real dancing experience to having a fully choreographed dance custom planned for their 4+ minute song. We typically recommend starting 2-3 months before your wedding to allow time for practice and refinement.
The timeline really depends on your goals. If you want basic steps to feel comfortable, 4-6 lessons usually do the trick. For custom choreography with lifts or complex moves, plan for 6-10 lessons. We work with your timeline and comfort level, never rushing you through the process.
No partner? No problem! We welcome individuals and couples to join us for an exciting journey through the world of dance. Many of our students start as singles and either rotate partners in group classes or work with instructors during private lessons. No partner necessary — just bring your love of Latin beats and willingness to grow!
In group classes, we rotate partners so everyone gets experience dancing with different people. This actually helps you become a better dancer faster because you learn to adapt to different leading and following styles. For private lessons, your instructor will be your practice partner, ensuring you get quality instruction regardless of whether you come alone or with someone.
Comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely are perfect for your first lesson. Think business casual or workout attire—nothing too restrictive or too loose. For shoes, avoid rubber soles that grip the floor too much, as they can make turning difficult and potentially cause injury.
Leather-soled shoes or dance sneakers work best, but smooth-soled dress shoes are fine too. Ladies, if you plan to wear heels eventually, start with low heels (1-2 inches) until you build stability. We recommend bringing a water bottle and arriving a few minutes early to get comfortable with the studio space.
Our pricing is straightforward and transparent—no hidden fees or pressure to buy expensive packages. Private lessons provide the most personalized attention and fastest progress, while group classes offer great value and social interaction. We also offer wedding packages that bundle lessons with choreography consultation.
We believe in honest, upfront pricing because we’ve seen how complicated packages and contracts can frustrate students. During your first visit, we’ll discuss your goals and recommend the lesson format that makes the most sense for your budget and timeline. Many students find a combination of private and group lessons gives them the best of both worlds.
Absolutely! Ballroom dancing is a fun and engaging activity that offers a wide range of benefits for individuals of all ages and skill levels, significantly impacting one’s physical, mental, and social well-being. If you have weak knees or are gradually introducing your body to exercise, ballroom dancing is a great low-impact activity that can promote a fit lifestyle while also decreasing your chances of exercise-related injury, with flexibility being a major benefit.
Many of our most dedicated students started dancing in their 50s, 60s, and beyond. The key is working with instructors who understand how to modify movements for different physical abilities and comfort levels. As an aerobic exercise, dancing consistently elevates your heart rate, improves blood circulation, helps lower your resting heart rate, promotes a healthier heart, and can help reduce the risk of heart disease, while the intricate steps, graceful turns, and expansive movements require muscle engagement throughout your body.
Private lessons offer completely personalized instruction tailored to your specific goals, learning pace, and skill level. The structure and customization of private lessons will get you to where you want to be as a dancer quicker, however, the variety of group classes allows you to experience new and different dances, steps, and figures that you may not have gone over with your instructor, allowing you to take what you learn in a group class and polish it with your instructor.
Group classes provide social interaction, partner rotation, and the chance to learn alongside others at similar skill levels. They’re more affordable and create a fun, supportive community atmosphere. Most serious students benefit from combining both—private lessons for personalized technique work and group classes for practice and social dancing skills. We can help you determine the right mix based on your goals and budget.
