You’ll walk onto your wedding dance floor knowing exactly what to do. No more worrying about stepping on each other’s feet or looking awkward in front of your guests. Our personalized instruction gives you the skills and confidence to create a beautiful, memorable first dance that reflects your unique love story.
Your family and friends will be amazed watching you glide gracefully together. But more importantly, you’ll feel completely at ease in each other’s arms, focused on the joy of the moment rather than remembering steps. That’s what happens when you learn from experienced professionals who understand exactly how to prepare couples for their special day.
We at Ballroom Factory Dance Studio have been helping Bay Wood couples create perfect wedding moments through personalized dance instruction. Our experienced instructors specialize in working with couples who have little to no dance experience, transforming them into confident dancers in just a few lessons.
What sets us apart is our understanding of what Bay Wood couples need. We know you’re juggling wedding planning with work and life, so we offer flexible scheduling that works around your timeline. Our supportive, welcoming environment helps even the most nervous couples feel comfortable from their very first lesson.
We start with a consultation where we discuss your wedding song, your comfort level, and what you want your first dance to look like. No pressure, no judgment—just an honest conversation about your goals and timeline.
Next, our instructor creates a personalized curriculum designed specifically for you. Whether you want something simple and elegant or more elaborate choreography, we tailor every lesson to match your vision and skill level. You’ll learn at your own pace in private lessons that give you complete attention and guidance.
Throughout the process, we focus on building your confidence alongside your technique. By your wedding day, the steps will feel natural and you’ll be excited to show off what you’ve learned rather than worried about making mistakes.
Ready to get started?
Your wedding dance lessons include custom choreography designed specifically for your chosen song and skill level. We work with all types of music and can adapt any dance style to create something that feels authentically you.
Bay Wood couples appreciate our flexible approach to scheduling. We understand that wedding planning gets hectic, especially in the months leading up to your big day. That’s why we offer evening and weekend appointments that fit around your work schedule and other wedding commitments.
You’ll also receive ongoing support and practice guidance between lessons. We want you to feel completely prepared, so we provide tips for practicing at home and answer any questions that come up as your wedding day approaches.
Most Bay Wood couples need between 4-8 private lessons to feel completely confident for their wedding day. The exact number depends on your chosen song, desired complexity, and how quickly you pick up the steps.
If you want something simple and elegant, we can create a beautiful routine in 4-5 lessons. For more elaborate choreography or if you’re starting with no dance experience, 6-8 lessons gives you time to really master the moves and build confidence. We’ll discuss your specific needs during your consultation and recommend the right package for your goals and timeline.
Absolutely. We specialize in creating custom choreography that works perfectly with your chosen wedding song, regardless of the style or tempo. Whether you’ve picked a classic ballroom piece, modern pop song, or something completely unique, we’ll design moves that complement the music beautifully.
During your consultation, we’ll listen to your song together and discuss what style of dance would work best. We can incorporate elements from Waltz, Tango, Salsa, Cha-Cha, or create a contemporary style that matches your personality. The choreography will always be tailored to your comfort level and the natural rhythm of your chosen music.
That’s exactly who we love working with. Most of our Bay Wood wedding couples start with little to no dance experience, and we’ve developed teaching methods specifically for complete beginners. You don’t need any prior skills—just willingness to learn and have fun together.
We start with the absolute basics: how to hold each other, basic steps, and finding the rhythm of your music. Everything builds gradually, so you never feel overwhelmed or rushed. Our instructors are patient and encouraging, creating a supportive environment where you can learn at your own pace. By your wedding day, you’ll be amazed at what you’ve accomplished.
We recommend starting your wedding dance lessons 2-4 months before your wedding day. This gives you plenty of time to learn your routine without feeling rushed, and allows for practice sessions between lessons to really master the choreography.
However, we understand that wedding planning doesn’t always go according to schedule. We’ve successfully prepared couples with as little as 4-6 weeks notice, creating simpler but equally beautiful routines that they can confidently perform. The key is starting as soon as you know you want professional instruction, so we have flexibility to work with your timeline and create something perfect for your big day.
Yes, we can work with your entire wedding party to create coordinated choreography for your reception. Many Bay Wood couples want their bridesmaids and groomsmen involved in a special dance performance, and we love helping make those visions come to life.
We can teach group choreography for entrance dances, coordinated routines during the reception, or even surprise performances for the couple. We’ll work with everyone’s schedule and skill level to create something fun and achievable. Group lessons are a great way for your wedding party to bond while learning something special for your celebration.
Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely—think workout attire or casual clothes you’d wear to the gym. For shoes, avoid sneakers since they can stick to the dance floor and make turning difficult. Instead, choose dress shoes, character shoes, or dance shoes if you have them.
If you’re planning to wear heels for your wedding, bring them to at least your final few lessons so you can practice in what you’ll actually be wearing. We want you to feel completely comfortable and confident in your wedding day attire. Many brides find it helpful to practice in shoes with a similar heel height to what they’ll wear on their big day.
